Week 2's Discussion
This week, we learn of the birth of daguerreotype and its commercially success during 1839-1860. Daguerreotype was later superseded by less expensive photographic processes, such as Ambrotype by Frederick Scott Archer; however, daguerreotype made its milestone in history photography with many wonderful portraits of people around the world in the late 19th century.
Please honor our photography inventors by submitting 1-2 good portrait of your love ones for this week discussion. See the samples of daguerreotype, pay attention on background, body gesture, face expression, and use window lighting as possible.
Good image will get 1 point extra credit, please do make comments on your classmate submission.
Thank you and enjoy the class discussion & conversation.
